

Dr. Dudley Chewning is a retired Lieutenant Colonel from the U.S. Air Force, with a doctorate in counseling and psychology. After serving as a combat pilot in Southeast Asia, he transitioned into mental health, specializing in trauma recovery. His work focuses on helping first responders, military personnel, and others affected by trauma, particularly PTSD. As a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, he has developed trauma treatment programs and has worked extensively with individuals and organizations to address the emotional and psychological challenges of those on the front lines.
He is passionate about combining his military and mental health expertise to provide healing through faith-based approaches and community support. He has led mental health efforts during national disasters and worked with law enforcement, fire departments, and military units to provide trauma care. Through his work, including his book The Wrath of Trauma, Dr. Chewning continues to inspire others to confront trauma, build resilience, and find strength through recovery.
